When a European children’s book publisher approached Kingwin Paper with a vision for a bright, engaging display to showcase their storybooks, our team turned their idea into a retail-ready solution that combines playful design, sustainability, and functional engineering.
This is the behind-the-scenes story of our yellow multi-compartment cardboard display stand—a project that exemplifies our end-to-end B2B expertise in paper display solutions.

The client’s goal was clear: create a display that would stand out in bookstores and toy shops, using a vibrant yellow color palette to attract young readers and their parents. Our design team started by analyzing their needs:
Target Product: Kids’ storybooks, requiring individual compartments to keep titles organized and visible.
Retail Fit: A floor-standing design that would fit standard store aisles, with a header board for branding.
Sustainability: A 100% recyclable cardboard structure to align with the publisher’s eco-friendly values.
We drafted 3D renderings incorporating angled shelves to ensure books face outward and a reinforced back panel for stability. The design also included a foldable structure for cost-effective shipping—a key pain point for B2B clients.
To bring the design to life, our engineering team selected FSC-certified corrugated cardboard with a B-flute profile, balancing durability and lightweight portability. We produced a rapid prototype in 3 days to test:
Load Capacity: Each compartment holds up to 5kg of books, with the entire structure supporting over 75kg.
Assembly Ease: The display folds flat and locks into place without tools, making it "retail ready" in minutes.
Print Quality: The bright yellow base and polka-dot accents were printed using water-based inks, ensuring vibrant colors that meet EU REACH compliance standards.
With the prototype signed off, our factory in China began mass production:
Die-Cutting: Automated machines cut the corrugated cardboard into precise panels, ensuring consistency across 500+ units.
Printing: High-speed digital printers applied the client’s artwork, with color checks at every stage.
Assembly: Teams folded and glued the panels, adding reinforced corner braces to boost structural integrity.
Inspection: Each display underwent a load test and visual check to ensure it met our ISO 9001 quality standards.
Understanding the importance of cost efficiency for B2B clients, we optimized packaging by nesting the flat-packed displays into standard shipping containers. This reduced volume by 40% compared to pre-assembled units, cutting freight costs significantly.
